Our Beliefs

1. The Scriptures Inspired
The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings. They are the final authority for Christian faith and life. (John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21; Psalm 119)

2. The One True God
There is one true God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; 46:9,10; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)

3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and is true God and true man, without sin, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He died for our sins, arose bodily from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the Father. (John 1:1-3; 8:58-59; 14:9-10; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:35; Colossians 1:19; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Matthew 28:6; Acts 1:9,11; 2:33; Hebrews 1-3; Revelation 22:13)

4. The Ministry of the Holy Spirit
The ministry of the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ by convicting the lost, regenerating the believing sinner, indwelling all believers and empowering them for godly living and service. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are given as God wills for the edification and equipping of the church. By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command: “Be ye holy, for I am holy” (John 14:16-17, 26; 16:7-15; Romans 8:9; 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:15,16)

5. The Fall of Man
Man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin. Thus, the natural man is alienated from God and is totally unable to remedy his own lost condition. (Genesis 1:26,27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 3:23; 5:12-19; 6:23)

6. The Salvation of Man
Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by acceptance and personal faith in Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:47; John 3:16; 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:12-19; 6:23; 10:13-15; Ephesians 2:8, 9; Titus 2:11; 3:5-7)

7. The True Church
The true Church is the united fellowship of all believers who are identified with the name of Christ and have been transformed by His saving power. Its visible expression is found in the local community of faith. The Church is God’s instrument to share His love to the world and to grow believers into the image of His Son. (Ephesians 1:22,23; 5:23-30; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Peter 2:9-10; Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:13, 27-31; Matthew 28:19, 20)

8. The Blessed Hope
One day, Christ will return and those who have died in Christ will be raised bodily. All believers will receive glorified bodies and spend eternity with the Lord. (Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Romans 8:23,24; 1 Corinthians 2:9; 15:51-54)

9. The Earthly Reign of Christ
When Christ returns, He will setup an earthly kingdom and reign with His saints in righteousness and peace. (Daniel 7:13-14; Isaiah 11:5-9; Matthew 24:27,30; Philippians 2:9-11; Revelation 1:7; 11:15; 19:11-14; 20:1-6)

10. The Final Judgment
There will be a final judgment where those who have believed in Jesus Christ will be rewarded for their deeds, but those who have not believed will be condemned to suffer eternal punishment. (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Acts 17:30, 31; 1 Corinthians 3:11-15; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10; Revelation 20:11-15)
